About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring CDL Class A truck drivers for layover and home-daily openings. Drivers perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies, averaging 6 to 14 stops per week, and represent Penske and its customers through safe, timely service and professional, courteous interactions. The schedule is either a five-day workweek or a rotating four-day/six-day schedule, depending on the position selected, with two consecutive days off and midnight-to-8 a.m. dispatch. Weekends are required. Drivers operate late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with comfort and safety features, including inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras. The posting lists average annual pay of $108,000 to $115,000 for layover openings and $79,000 for home-daily openings, plus a sign-on bonus. Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL; applicants must be domiciled in the United States and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold, or be able to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
• A 3-year DMV/MVR record with no more than two moving violations or accidents.
• Complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, including past employment, education, and criminal history, and drug screening.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely perform safety-sensitive duties.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
• Ability to meet the stated vision and hearing requirements.
• Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies, averaging 6 to 14 stops per week.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
• Deliver products safely and on time while representing Penske and its clients.
• Follow applicable federal and state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Work the required schedule and at the required location.
• Operate the vehicle safely, remaining alert and accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
