About The Position

Join Sazerac as a CDL Class A Driver supporting mill operations by safely transporting wood products and raw materials. This local driving role offers daily home time. Drivers operate modern equipment, work closely with plant leadership, and contribute to a safety culture focused on operational excellence.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Class A CDL and at least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), with no major violations within the past 3 years.
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel, squat, and safely enter and exit commercial vehicles.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and industrial environments.

Nice To Haves

5 or more years of Class A commercial driving experience.
Experience hauling logs, wood products, forestry materials, or other bulk commodities.
Experience operating in mountainous terrain and/or hauling tanker loads.

Responsibilities

Safely transport wood chips, bark, sawdust, logs, and other materials between suppliers, customers, and company locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Secure loads and safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in varying road and weather conditions.
Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection records, and transportation documentation.
Communicate effectively with plant personnel and logistics teams to support production needs.
