About The Position

HCSC Linen Services is an innovative provider of textile programs and services to the healthcare community. The CDL Class A Driver supports the laundry operation at the Allentown, Pennsylvania facility by providing courteous, professional linen and garment delivery to healthcare partners. The work directly supports patient health and safety by helping facilities receive top-quality linen services. The position pays $34.73 per hour and includes working weekends and a flexible schedule with varying hours. The driver is responsible for operating tractor-trailers and straight trucks, handling laundry carts, inspecting vehicles and shipments, and delivering clean linen while picking up soiled linen. Background checks and drug screenings are required, and an employment offer is contingent on successfully completing them.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 2 years of previous driving experience.
CDL Class A.
DOT Medical card.
Experience driving tractor-trailer and straight truck delivery vehicles.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule with varying hours.
Successful completion of required background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer and straight truck delivery vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Load and unload laundry carts on and off the vehicle.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and shipment verifications, and report mechanical issues.
Keep the vehicle clean and organized and stocked with necessary tools and supplies.
Deliver clean linen to local hospitals and healthcare facilities and pick up soiled linens.
Jockey before and after each run as needed.
