About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL solo regional truck driver based in Mankato, Minnesota. Drivers deliver retail hardware supplies to Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois. The work involves touch freight and regional routes using sleeper tractors and dry van trailers, with reefers used sometimes. Equipment includes manual pallet jacks and lift gates; Ryder provides training on the equipment needed for the role. Drivers must obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire, with Ryder reimbursing the cost and providing training support. Drivers earn $0.64 per mile for 2,000 or more miles per week and $25.75 per stop for an average of 15 stops per week. Average per diem is $50 per night for one to two nights per week. The posting states that drivers earn $1,770 or more weekly and are paid weekly. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with start times between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., and 50 or more hours per week. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Pass a Ryder drug test.
Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including verification of drug and alcohol history from previous employers for the last three years.
Pass a DOT physical.
Pass a Ryder road test.
Provide the appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years.
Be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Be able to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
Obtain a Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire; Ryder reimburses the cost and provides training support.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Maintain accurate records and logs.
Load and unload freight or assist with loading and unloading when required by the customer.
Perform other duties as assigned.
