About The Position

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Apprentice Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $26.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours until apprentice program is complete. Coil endorsement required. Home daily. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all. Deliver aluminum scrap and coils for a world leader in rolled aluminum products. Home daily. Schedule: 5-day work week. Nights and weekends required. Ready for a new mission with the same values? Requirements

Must be a graduate of a Penske approved CDL School (CDL 160, Ivy Tech, Truck Drivers Institute, New England Tractor Trailer Training School), or a current or former member of the US Armed Forces
Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
English language proficiency
Less than 12 months of commercial driving experience

Responsibilities

Deliver aluminum scrap and coils for a world leader in rolled aluminum products
Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
Maintain a constant state of alertness and work in a safe manner.
Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
