About The Position

Penske Logistics is hiring full-time local Class A CDL truck drivers to deliver aluminum coils and scrap dock-to-dock. The work is mainly drop-and-hook using pre-loaded flatbed trailers, and includes loading and unloading aluminum coils. Drivers operate late-model Freightliner and Volvo trucks leased through Penske, with specifications designed for comfort. The role offers steady work, guaranteed daily pay, and home-daily routes. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with a 4:00 PM dispatch and 50 to 60 hours per week. Occasional sixth-day work is available with additional weekend incentives. Average annual earnings are $90,000, with safety incentives available up to $3,000 annually. Penske also offers training opportunities and career mobility across its nationwide locations. The position is DOT-regulated or designated safety-sensitive and requires drivers to work alertly and safely while meeting applicable federal and state requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL; applicants must be domiciled in the United States and licensed in their state of residence.
• Currently hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• At least 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years.
• Three years of DMV/MVR history with no more than two moving violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency as required by federal law.
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location, complete a Penske employment application, and submit to a background investigation and drug screening.
• Ability to remain alert and work safely, including accepting responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and rear cargo area.
• Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including frequent movement, standing, walking, sitting, handling, and reaching; regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to see and hear, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver aluminum coils and scrap dock-to-dock.

• Operate a truck safely and follow federal and state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance and work the required schedule at the specified location.
• Represent Penske and its clients while providing customer service and building relationships with accounts.
