About The Position

This position provides administrative, logistical, and coordinator-level support to HR leadership in administering the Tribal Member Career Readiness and Development Program and related Tribal development and mentorship initiatives. It supports program activities from participant interest and onboarding through departmental rotations, evaluations, career development, and job placement coordination. The role is designed to build a Tribal Member’s knowledge and capabilities through hands-on work, structured training, and mentorship from HR leadership. The Team Member will begin by learning and demonstrating proficiency in foundational administrative responsibilities, then progressively assume more complex coordination and program responsibilities. The long-term goal is to prepare the Team Member over multiple years for potential program responsibilities, depending on demonstrated readiness, performance, organizational needs, and available opportunities; advancement is not automatic or guaranteed. The position participates in a structured development plan established by HR leadership, completes assigned training and hands-on learning, attends mentorship meetings and performance check-ins, and learns program administration by completing administrative and coordinator-level assignments. As proficiency and readiness are demonstrated and approved, the Team Member may progressively take responsibility for assigned program activities. Matters involving eligibility decisions, policy exceptions, performance concerns, corrective action, or job placement approval must be referred to the appropriate HR leader. This position is exclusively available to a registered member of the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
