About The Position

Appalachian Dental Care in Boone, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced Treatment Plan Coordinator for its full-service dental practice. The practice provides family dentistry, implants, dentures, clear aligners, and cosmetic dentistry, and emphasizes patient care. The office is open Monday through Thursday.

Requirements

At least 2 years of dental experience preferred.
Proven experience presenting treatment plans and achieving strong case acceptance.
Working knowledge of dental insurance, benefits, and pre-authorizations.
Comfort discussing finances and third-party financing with patients.
Excellent communication skills.
Interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, caring, and confident manner.
Review and explain costs, insurance coverage, and patient responsibility.
Verify insurance and complete detailed benefit breakdowns and pre-authorizations.
Present financing options, payment plans, and the in-house Wellness Plan.
Coordinate larger cases, including implants, dentures, crowns, and clear aligners, with the doctor and clinical team.
Follow up with patients regarding pending and unscheduled treatment.
Schedule treatment appointments and help keep the schedule productive.
Coordinate free dental implant consultations.
Provide exceptional customer service from the first conversation through completed treatment.
