About The Position

The Treating Operator is responsible for safely operating the transfer deck, loading charges, and receiving chemicals. This role involves entering material and treatment requirements into the computer system, monitoring and mixing chemicals to achieve required concentrations, and maintaining records for all treated materials. The operator ensures the final product meets customer specifications and communicates daily with Quality Control (QC) regarding treatment results. A clean and orderly working environment is essential, along with adherence to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies, including proper handling and storage of hazardous waste. The position may require entering confined spaces for repairs and cleaning, and collaborating with the maintenance team to diagnose and repair plant issues. Other duties as required to maintain facility operations are also part of this role. The ability to obtain a pesticide license is necessary.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Must be medically able to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to set priorities and analyze problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in a chemical treatment or similar industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of SHE policies and hazardous waste handling.
  • Certification in confined space entry.

Responsibilities
