Traveling Maintenance Supervisor

Redstone Residential•Provo, UT
•Onsite

About The Position

Redstone Residential is hiring a hands-on Traveling Maintenance Supervisor to provide interim maintenance leadership across approximately 60 properties in Utah, Salt Lake, and Davis Counties. The role reports to the National Director of Facilities and deploys to properties, often on short notice, to cover staffing gaps, support turn season, lead performance turnarounds, and respond to emergencies. Assignments vary across student housing and conventional multifamily communities, from Class A properties to Class C value-add properties with deferred maintenance. The supervisor quickly assesses property conditions, work order backlogs, preventive maintenance compliance, and life-safety systems, then creates prioritized action plans. The role combines personally performing skilled repairs with supervising and coaching maintenance teams. It also includes leading unit turns, improving maintenance performance, coordinating with management and vendors, maintaining code and OSHA compliance, responding to emergency situations, and documenting assignments. This is a field-based position involving extensive travel and on-call emergency response as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work is physical and varied, involving indoor and outdoor work in all weather and access to roofs, crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and other areas. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 annually. The position is classified as exempt.
