Traveling Maintenance Supervisor

Redstone Residential•Provo, UT
•$75,000 - $85,000•Onsite

About The Position

Redstone Residential is hiring a hands-on Traveling Maintenance Supervisor to provide maintenance leadership across approximately 60 properties in Utah, Salt Lake, and Davis Counties. The role reports to the National Director of Facilities and deploys to properties, often on short notice, to cover staffing gaps, support turn season, lead performance turnarounds, and respond to emergencies. Assignments may range from compressed student-housing turns to addressing maintenance backlogs at Class C value-add properties. The supervisor quickly assesses each property's condition, work-order backlog, preventive-maintenance compliance, and life-safety systems, then builds a prioritized action plan. The role combines personally performing skilled maintenance work with supervising, training, and coaching on-site teams. It requires adapting to different property classes, teams, and operating needs while coordinating with community and regional management, vendors, and other stakeholders. This is an exempt, field-based position with extensive travel and expected availability for on-call and emergency response, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The work involves physical activity in varied indoor and outdoor settings, including climbing ladders and working at heights and in roofs, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms.
