Traveling Hospital Representative - Ellis Hospital
About The Position
Daniels Health is seeking a customer service-oriented Traveling Field Service Representative to maintain inventory and provide first-line customer service across three assigned hospital locations: Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, Bellevue Woman's Center in Niskayuna, and Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs. The representative works with drivers, operations personnel, sales teams, corporate support staff, and hospital clinical staff to service the locations. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is a permanent, full-time role of 40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Personal transportation to travel among multiple hospitals.
- Willingness to complete a five-panel urine drug screening and a seven-year background check.
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive warehouse job involving repetitive lifting of 50- to 75-pound containers.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and accurately record weights.
- Familiarity with weighbridge or scale systems.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Comfort standing for extended periods and working in personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrated longevity with employers.
- Ability to stand and walk for a significant part of the day, lift containers weighing up to 50 pounds, and push or pull wheeled transporters and/or palletized products weighing up to approximately 300 pounds.

- Experience in EVS, housekeeping, or as a sterilization technician.

Responsibilities
- Work with clinical staff at the hospitals to ensure proper healthcare waste segregation, timely container exchanges, and accurate container fill levels.
- Inspect and service Daniels products at assigned hospitals or medical centers, including entering procedural areas and working around patients and equipment.
- Maintain adequate container-stock inventory at each location and department.
- Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with hospital staff and Daniels staff.
- Communicate and escalate customer issues to a manager to support timely response and resolution, using a company-provided smartphone for daily duties.
- Maintain professional, positive working relationships with customers and hospital staff while working independently without direct supervision.
- Keep staging areas neat and orderly when entering and before leaving facilities.
