Traveling Dentist – Nursing Home Care
About The Position
Aria Care Partners is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Dentist to provide onsite dental care to residents of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The role involves traveling to facilities generally 20 minutes to two hours away; all drive time and clinic time are compensated. The opportunity is open to new college graduates and experienced dentists. The dentist assesses residents’ dental health, addresses dental concerns, develops and discusses treatment plans, performs limited procedures, and conducts oral cancer screenings. The position is for two days per week, with scheduling that can work around the clinician’s availability. Compensation includes competitive pay and a minimum daily guarantee. Aria Care Partners provides onsite dental, vision, hearing, and podiatry care to long-term care and skilled nursing facilities. Its clinical operations team handles coordination, including scheduling and billing, so clinicians can focus on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Develop treatment plans to manage, improve, and treat dental and oral health issues.
- Perform simple procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and denture-related services.
- Order diagnostic measures such as X-rays.
- Apply agents such as silver diamine fluoride to arrest tooth decay.
- Maintain accurate dental records.
- Communicate with facility staff and families to help ensure patients have support for successful daily oral hygiene.
- Assess dental health, address dental concerns, discuss treatment plans, and conduct oral cancer screenings.
