Traveling Certified Prosthetist Orthotist
About The Position
Cranial Technologies is seeking a Nationwide Traveling Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist based out of Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position where you will practice in various Cranial Technologies locations across the United States. This role offers an opportunity to work in a niche, pediatric clinical outpatient setting exclusively with infants and their families, focusing on treating plagiocephaly and misshapen ears. You will travel to different clinic locations, typically Monday through Friday, and be home every weekend. The company covers travel expenses and provides a per diem. This role requires adaptability to fast-paced and new settings, working with new teammates and families each week.
Requirements
- Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist
- State-issued REAL ID compliant license or equivalent TSA accepted travel documentation required by start date
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must be able to complete AHCA's screening program.
- Close to a major airport for ease of travel booking.
Nice To Haves
- Background in pediatrics is preferred.
- Experience with orthotics and direct patient care.
- Background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (e.g., PTs and OTs).
- Experience in hands-on patient care and compassion for families, capability to treat the whole patient (e.g., Registered Nurses).
Responsibilities
- Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®.
- Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®.
- Act as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears for pediatricians and parents.
- Develop relationships with families throughout their treatment process.
- Travel to various Cranial Technologies clinic locations across the United States.
- Take over caseloads from other clinicians.
- Work in clinic Tuesday through Friday.
- Travel to any state where Cranial Technologies has a clinic.
