About The Position

Cranial Technologies is seeking a Nationwide Traveling Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist based out of Houston, TX. This is a full-time position where you will practice in various Cranial Technologies locations across the United States. This role offers an opportunity to work in a niche, pediatric clinical outpatient setting exclusively with infants and their families, focusing on cranial shaping orthoses and ear shape correction. You will travel to different clinic locations, typically departing Monday afternoon/evening and working Tuesday through Friday, returning home Friday afternoon/evening. You will be home every Saturday and Sunday, with travel assignments provided at least two weeks in advance. The company is looking for candidates located near a major airport for travel convenience. Cranial Technologies covers all travel expenses and provides a per diem. This role requires adaptability to fast-paced and new settings, as you will be taking over caseloads and working with new teams and families regularly.

Requirements

  • Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist
  • State-issued REAL ID compliant license or equivalent TSA accepted travel documentation required by start date
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Must be able to complete AHCA's screening program.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in pediatrics is preferred.
  • Candidates close to a major airport for ease of travel booking.

Responsibilities

  • Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®.
  • Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®.
  • Serve as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears for pediatricians and parents.
  • Develop relationships with families throughout the treatment process.
  • Travel to various Cranial Technologies clinic locations across the United States.
