About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital setting in Newport, Oregon. The role involves administering respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures to adult and pediatric patients, operating and monitoring respiratory care equipment, performing patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The position requires adherence to infection control and safety standards, with documentation of care and equipment usage.

Requirements

Current NBRC-RRT registration
Current Oregon Respiratory Care license
Healthcare Provider BLS certification
ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating shifts

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years clinical experience in Respiratory Care preferred

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures to adult and pediatric patients using evidence-based cardiopulmonary techniques.
Operate and monitor respiratory care equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, suction, and related devices.
Perform patient assessments, monitor responses to therapy, interpret arterial blood gases as directed, and adjust treatments accordingly.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to develop and implement patient care plans; document progress and communicate changes.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and equipment sterilization standards; document care and equipment usage in the medical record.
