About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Burlington, Vermont. The assignment is for 4 weeks, starting on 08/13/2026. The role involves providing respiratory care in an inpatient setting, including NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general adult and pediatric units within a teaching environment. Requirements

Active NBRC-verified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); CRT not accepted
License on file at time of submission
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC Verification
Minimum 1 year of professional experience in inpatient respiratory care
Prior travel experience preferred; teaching hospital experience required
Epic experience within the past 2 years required
Education: graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
Ability to work in an inpatient care setting across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general units
Reliable transportation; note: local public transit is not available in the area

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care for inpatient units including NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general pediatric/adult units
Administer prescribed therapies (nebulized meds, airway clearance, ventilator management, and weaning) per physician orders
Monitor patient response, adjust therapy as needed, and document interventions in the electronic health record (Epic)
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and participate in patient rounds and plan of care
Perform respiratory procedures (ABG sampling, airway management, suctioning, NIV and invasive ventilation support) as appropriate
Ensure patient safety and infection control standards, and provide education to patients and families as indicated
