About The Position

This is a hospital-based travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Newport, Oregon. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/13/2026. Requirements

  • NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification/registration active and current
  • Oregon state Respiratory Care license active
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
  • ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required for this assignment
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting with a rotating shift schedule and travel assignment requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of clinical Respiratory Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies and diagnostic services to patients across age groups using evidence-based cardiopulmonary techniques.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in alignment with physician orders and protocols.
  • Provide ventilator management, airway clearance therapies, aerosolized medications, and weaning support as directed; perform routine ventilator checks and respond to alarms.
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, nebulized treatments, and other related modalities; ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounding and care planning; communicate changes to the Care Team.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and documentation standards; maintain accurate records in the patient care system and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
