About The Position

This is a hospital-based travel assignment for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Newport, Oregon. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/13/2026. Requirements

NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification/registration active and current
Oregon state Respiratory Care license active
Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required for this assignment
Ability to work in a hospital setting with a rotating shift schedule and travel assignment requirements

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years of clinical Respiratory Care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies and diagnostic services to patients across age groups using evidence-based cardiopulmonary techniques.
Monitor patient responses to therapy, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in alignment with physician orders and protocols.
Provide ventilator management, airway clearance therapies, aerosolized medications, and weaning support as directed; perform routine ventilator checks and respond to alarms.
Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, nebulized treatments, and other related modalities; ensure equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in rounding and care planning; communicate changes to the Care Team.
Adhere to safety, infection control, and documentation standards; maintain accurate records in the patient care system and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
