Travel Registered Nurse, RN, ED
About The Position
FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, using Registered Nurses to fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. Travel opportunities are available nationally and regionally, including at St Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. This Emergency Department RN assignment is 12 weeks, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Day and night shifts are available. Nurses may be required to float throughout a hospital or across multiple hospital locations and regions. The role requires independent practice within the nurse’s license, scope of knowledge, and experience, while retaining accountability for delegation, decisions, and outcomes. Pay is $73.00–$78.00 per hour depending on assignment option and shift, and is based on experience, skills, education, and location. The stated gross weekly rate is $2,628.00.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
- Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Emergency Department and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
- Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
- Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as qualified and willing.
- Apply the standard elements of professional practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
- Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
- Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
