Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring for a Travel Registered Nurse for their Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit (10K). This is a temporary full-time, 14-week assignment on the night shift. The unit is a brand new 24-bed Medicine unit equipped with modern technology, including new computers in every room and charting stations with patient visualization. The unit utilizes Real Time Documentation with blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC. The patient population is diverse, including cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-prep, and various wound care cases.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in Nursing, or diploma in the Nursing Field.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit.
- Manage patients with cardiac, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, and diverse wound care needs.
- Utilize Real Time Documentation integrated with EPIC.
- Work night shifts.
