About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring for a Travel Registered Nurse for their 10K Stepdown Unit. This is a temporary full-time, 14-week assignment on the Day Shift. The unit is a beautiful, brand new 24-bed Medicine unit equipped with new computers, charting stations with patient visualization, and blood pressure machines that integrate with EPIC for real-time documentation. The patient population includes cardiac, cardiac prep, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, OR-prep, and diverse wound care.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit.
- Manage patients with cardiac, renal failure, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, sickle cell, and diverse wound care needs.
- Utilize new technology including EPIC for real-time documentation.
