About The Position

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is hiring a Temporary Full Time Travel RN in our PCU/Stepdown Unit! This progressive care unit provides nursing care for patients who are too ill for the general medical/surgical units, but do not need an intensive level of care in the ICU. The patient population on this 24-bed unit is step-down patients in need of intermediate care. Population includes general medicine, surgical, chronic vents (4 beds), and bypass patients. The unit is a Stroke Certified unit.

Requirements

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS
• NIH stroke scale
• Two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients who are too ill for general medical/surgical units but do not require intensive care.
• Care for patients including general medicine, surgical, chronic vents, and bypass patients.
• Provide care on a 24-bed progressive care unit.
