About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Internal Traveler to work on an Intermediate Care unit for their Oncology Stepdown unit for a Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment. This unit cares for patients with cancer in an inpatient, 36 bed Intermediate Care Unit. Compassionate RNs are needed to monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments. The care delivered is dynamic and includes chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplants/CAR-T, radioactive iodine, and symptom management.

Requirements

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS
  • NIH Stroke Scale
  • 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
