About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital IMCU/Stepdown 5RP Unit is hiring for a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Traveler Position! This Unit provides care to neuroscience patients including those with back and neck surgical issues, epilepsy, all neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.), and stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical). Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center and the region's first Magnet® hospital, serving as a primary teaching institution for Eastern Virginia Medical School. The partnership with EVMS combines the latest innovations in technology, research, and clinical care to offer advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Requirements

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale
Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.

Provide care to neuroscience patients including those with back and neck surgical issues, epilepsy, all neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.), and stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical).
