About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Internal Traveler to work on an Intermediate Care unit for their Oncology Stepdown unit for a Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment. This unit cares for patients with cancer in an inpatient, 36 bed Intermediate Care Unit. The role involves monitoring physical conditions, prescribing medication, and administering chemotherapy and other treatments. The care delivered is dynamic and includes chemotherapy, hospice, radiation, stem cell transplants/CAR-T, radioactive iodine, and symptom management.

Requirements

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • ACLS required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale required.
  • Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience.
