About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital IMCU/Stepdown 5RP Unit is hiring for a Registered Nurse for a Temporary Traveler Position! This Unit provides care to neuroscience patients including back and neck surgical patients, epilepsy patients, all neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.), and stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical). Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center in Norfolk, Virginia, home to the Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance, region’s first Magnet® hospital and nationally ranked heart program at Sentara Heart Hospital. It is a large 525-bed medical center, which serves as the primary teaching institution for the adjacent Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). Our partnership with EVMS combines the latest innovations in technology, research, and clinical care, to offer advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
