About The Position

Registered Nurse – Psychiatric travel assignment in Nashua, New Hampshire. Requirements

Active State of New Hampshire RN license
BLS certification required
Associate degree or diploma from a 3-year nursing program required
1 year nursing experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work on a hospital-based psychiatric/geropsychiatric unit and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care on the geropsychiatric unit, including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and timely reporting of changes in patient conditions
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accuracy and safety per physician orders
Complete and maintain accurate medical histories, mental and physical assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team; participate in daily groups, 1:1 interactions, and milieu-based activities
Coordinate nursing care activities, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians, therapists, social workers, and external agencies to optimize patient outcomes
