Travel Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
About The Position
NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Travel Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Utica, New York. The role provides medical-surgical and post-surgical care to adult patients. Common diagnoses include post-surgical care, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, morbid obesity, and bariatric surgery. The position requires floating as needed and uses EPIC for charting. Specialty equipment includes IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes. Scrub color is navy blue. The schedule is a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed, and there is no on-call requirement. Estimated weekly gross pay is $2,300 to $2,500. The assignment is 13 weeks and is listed as travel employment.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Current specialty-specific skills checklist.
- License verification for New York and all other active RN licenses.
- Current resume documenting relevant medical-surgical and travel nursing experience.
- Disclose requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission.
- Valid driver's license with an address matching candidate demographics.
Responsibilities
