About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Springfield, Vermont. Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont (in good standing)
Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) from an accredited program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1+ year of clinical experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities or community mental health preferred
Ability to work the day shift in a travel assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week
Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, noting changes in health status and behavior.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document interventions in the charting system.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Provide patient and family education on condition management, medications, safety, and follow-up care.
Monitor safety, respond to clinical changes, and apply de-escalation or crisis intervention techniques as needed.
Communicate effectively with case management and other health professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning.
