About The Position

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit, Newark, NY. Travel assignment starting 09/28/2026 for several weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,342–$2,393 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: hospital-based ICU unit (Medical/Surgical ICU) with a nine-bed unit and a typical census around seven. Travel experience is required; first-time travelers may be considered.

Requirements

NY nursing license in hand; license in hand required to submit
Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience; travel RN experience required; charge experience highly preferred
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
EPIC charting experience required
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates within 75 miles will not be considered
RTO: candidates with more than 10 days of return-to-duty time will not be submitted

Responsibilities

Provide direct, continuous care for adult ICU patients; monitor hemodynamics and respond to critical changes
Manage arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines; titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips; monitor continuous IV sedation/paralysis as ordered
Recognize and treat dysrhythmias; perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs; administer blood products
Maintain IV access and IV therapies; assist with procedural sedation monitoring; apply infection prevention protocols
Document all care in the EPIC charting system; collaborate with PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and other disciplines; participate in handoffs
Float to unit coverage as required and participate in shift-specific orientation and safety practices
