About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Sonora, California. The assignment is temporary, lasting 13 weeks, and is facilitated through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, monitoring patients, administering medications, operating ICU equipment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The nurse will utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to support patient needs, ensure safety and infection control, and accurately document patient care.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license (California) or ability to obtain per requirements of the assignment
ICU/critical care nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work nights and adapt to a night-shift schedule
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and independent judgment
Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Monitor patient status, administer medications, and operate ICU equipment in collaboration with the care team.
Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines.
Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to support patient needs.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to applicable policies and procedures.
