About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) located in York, Maine. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 08/31/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care in an acute care setting as part of a CCU team. The position guarantees 36 hours per week with a shift of 3x12-hour nights, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. There is no on-call requirement, but variable shifts may be needed. The role requires adherence to state vaccination requirements, specifically an influenza vaccination mandated by the state of Maine.

Requirements

• Active Maine RN license (or eligible) in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Influenza vaccination required by the state of Maine
• Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and adapt to variable shifts as needed
• Proficient in inpatient charting and teamwork in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• ICU/CCU nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to CCU patients, including monitoring of vital signs, hemodynamic status, and respiratory function
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and document responses
• Interpret patient data from monitors and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adjust care plans
• Respond promptly to clinical changes, escalate issues, and participate in rapid assessment and intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely charting, ensure safety protocols, and communicate with families about care plans
