About The Position

A leading regional healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technician for an onsite, 90-day assignment in Waterbury, Connecticut, with a possible extension. The technician prepares and positions patients and produces high-quality cross-sectional images. The role follows a full-time day schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, five days per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Department orientation and dedicated recruiter support are provided.

Requirements

At least 2 years of MRI technologist experience.
Current MRI credentials and any licensure required to practice in Connecticut; credentials and licensure are confirmed during screening.
Strong patient positioning and safety screening skills.
Experience submitting images to PACS.
Ability to work a full-time day schedule.

Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to exams.
Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images for processing.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Submit high-quality images and documentation promptly to PACS, ensuring image quality, correct markers, and accurate patient data.
Confirm equipment is working properly and report problems to the appropriate personnel.
Help keep the department, procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing areas clean and orderly.
