About The Position

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Traveling Executive Director of Operations to manage an assigned assisted living community for a short-term period, averaging 60 to 120 days, while permanent leadership is identified and put in place. The role is responsible for the community’s budget and occupancy goals, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and driving overall customer service. Assignments depend on community needs and may be at any Benchmark community in Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, or Rhode Island. The role requires travel 100% of the time and involves taking on new assignments every few months.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Five or more years of operations management in senior care preferred.
Experience in a managerial role responsible for multiple disciplines.
Budgeting and staffing experience.
Proficiency with Windows applications such as Excel and Outlook.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, or Business.
Five or more years of operations management in senior care.

Responsibilities

Review bills and statements.
Analyze revenue projections and make adjustments when revenue sources decrease.
Manage the Sales Director.
Network with outside referral sources, including hospital and rehabilitation personnel.
Qualify prospects financially using credit reports, bank statements, and other relevant information.
Review occupancy in relation to staffing.
Assist with hiring and recruitment.
Handle resident and family grievances.
Manage an assigned assisted living community’s budget and occupancy goals, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and drive customer service while permanent leadership is identified.
