About The Position
AAA Oregon/Idaho is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Travel Agent for its Portland travel team. Based at the service center in downtown Portland, Oregon, this role promotes travel sales and provides members with an exceptional travel experience. The agent advises and makes recommendations to help members plan trips, confirms travel arrangements, builds rapport, and fosters lasting relationships. The role involves researching, reserving, and finalizing domestic and international travel arrangements, including cruises, tours, resort packages, and activities. The position is 100% onsite and calls for someone focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Basic computer proficiency, organization, and ability to learn new systems.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in a customer service or sales environment is preferred but not required, especially experience in travel.
- Understanding of the sales process, the importance of customer service, and building and managing relationships.
Responsibilities
- Promote travel sales and provide members with an exceptional travel experience.
- Offer travel advice and recommendations to enhance members’ trips.
- Confirm travel arrangements and build rapport and lasting relationships with members.
- Research, reserve, and finalize domestic and international travel arrangements, including cruises, tours, resort packages, and activities.
