About The Position
AAA Oregon/Idaho is hiring an enthusiastic and motivated Travel Agent for its Salem travel team. Based at the service center in Salem, Oregon, the position promotes travel sales and provides members with an exceptional travel experience. The agent advises and makes recommendations, confirms travel arrangements, builds rapport, and develops lasting relationships with members. The role involves researching, reserving, and finalizing domestic and international travel arrangements, including cruises, tours, resort packages, and activities. The position is 100% onsite.
Requirements
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Organized and able to learn new systems.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in a customer service or sales environment, preferably in travel.
- Understanding of the sales process, the importance of customer service, and relationship building and management.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional member service and advice and recommendations to enhance members’ travel experiences.
- Confirm travel arrangements.
- Build rapport with members and foster long-lasting travel relationships.
- Research, reserve, and finalize domestic and international travel arrangements, including cruises, tours, resort packages, and activities.
- Promote travel sales.
