About The Position
The Home-Based Travel Advisor helps clients plan trips ranging from mountain and beach escapes to adventure tours, luxury cruises, and family vacations. The advisor consults with clients about their travel needs, preferences, and budgets; researches and recommends travel options; books and manages arrangements; and provides customer service before, during, and after travel. The role is open to people based in the US or Latin America, including those new to the travel industry. Training, certification, tools, mentorship, marketing resources, and back-office support are provided.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in travel and helping others explore the world.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Basic computer skills and internet access.
- Willingness to complete provided training and certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior travel industry experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Research and recommend destinations, accommodations, flights, cruises, and activities.
- Book and manage travel arrangements using preferred supplier platforms.
- Provide customer service before, during, and after travel.
- Stay current on travel trends, promotions, and safety protocols.
- Build long-term client relationships.
