Trauma/Burn ICU Dietitian
About The Position
TouchPoint, part of Compass Group, is hiring a Trauma/Burn ICU Dietitian at Ascension St Vincent’s in Indianapolis, Indiana. The position covers the trauma/neuro ICU and burn units at a 500+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center. The dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition education in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. The role includes comprehensive nutritional assessments, individualized care planning, nutrition and lifestyle education for patients, families, staff, and the community, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. The dietitian also partners with food service management to support patient satisfaction and service goals, and may mentor staff and dietetic interns through education and training. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating weekends. The salary starts at $70,000 and is negotiable based on experience. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and relocation allowance. A CNSC certification is required or the candidate must be willing to obtain it.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or eligible to take the CDR examination.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian; CNSC certification is required or the candidate must be willing to obtain it.
- Licensed Dietitian, or willing to obtain licensure, in the state of practice as applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of work experience in a specialty area is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area.
- Provide nutrition and lifestyle education to patients, families, staff, and the community.
- Apply current research in accordance with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols.
- Contribute to QAPI initiatives to advance patient care and clinical excellence.
- Partner with the food service management team to help meet patient satisfaction and service goals.
- Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training, as applicable.
