About The Position

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is hiring a registered nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to support a positive patient experience. The posting refers to the role as a Trauma ICU Nurse but describes duties and qualifications for a Progressive Care Registered Nurse.

Requirements

Registered Nurse qualification.
Associate degree.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assess patients at admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
Perform procedures and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
Document care administration in patient medical records accurately and promptly.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients’ responses.
Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical patient care.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers.
Advocate for patients and support a high-quality patient experience.
