About The Position
St. Francis Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, is seeking a dedicated Transporter to help ensure safe, timely, and compassionate patient transport throughout the hospital. The role transports patients and medical supplies to and from the Radiology Department, assists technologists with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and performs general messenger services as needed. The position requires proper handling of IV pumps and poles, oxygen tanks, and patient charts, while maintaining a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for patients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport patients and medical supplies to and from the Radiology Department.
- Assist technologists with transferring patients to and from imaging tables.
- Properly manage and transport IV pumps and poles, oxygen tanks, and patient charts.
- Ensure a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for patients during transport.
- Perform general messenger services as needed.
