About The Position
Monterey Park Hospital is seeking a Transporter for its Radiology Department. This is a per diem, 8-hour day-shift position scheduled for weekends and reporting to the Director/Supervisor of Radiology. Under the direction of the Imaging Director/Supervisor, the Transporter moves patients between hospital areas and patient care units, accompanies nursing staff during patient transport, and assists the ICU with safely moving patients when needed. The role also includes transporting and cleaning dirty equipment from nursing units to Radiology and maintaining HEPA filters throughout the hospital.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients between various hospital areas and patient care units.
- Accompany nursing staff while transporting patients to various hospital areas.
- Assist the ICU unit with safely moving patients when needed.
- Transport dirty equipment from nursing units to Radiology and clean it.
- Maintain HEPA filters throughout the hospital.
