About The Position
The Transporter is responsible for timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout the Baptist Health Floyd facility by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. The role also transports specimens, equipment and supplies, messages, and parcels as designated. It performs other support services as needed to provide service excellence to patients, visitors, and hospital staff. This is a part-time position for 48 hours biweekly, working weekends only from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Weekend hours receive premium pay.
Requirements
- BLS certification from an approved BLS course is required; training will be provided.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
