Transportation Technician II
About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT), a 100% employee-owned consulting firm with more than 2,800 professionals, is seeking a Transportation Technician II for its Construction Management Team in North Carolina. The role applies standard inspection procedures to ongoing transportation construction activities, during and after construction, to verify quality, safety, and conformance to plans and specifications. The position is available in multiple locations within North Carolina; locations may be discussed with the hiring manager during an interview. Immigration sponsorship or support is unavailable, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening.
Responsibilities
- Inspect contractor operations on roadway and bridge construction projects to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
- Perform routine material testing.
- Measure and track quantities of pay items.
- Gather and maintain record documents, including material certifications, testing reports, and inspector’s daily diaries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
