Transportation Technician II
About The Position
Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Transportation Technician II for its Construction Management Team. The role applies standard inspection procedures to ongoing transportation construction activities during and after construction to assess quality, safety, and conformance to plans and specifications. The position is available in multiple locations in North Carolina, with statewide opportunities; the specific location can be discussed with the hiring manager during an interview. Immigration sponsorship or support is unavailable except for qualified candidates eligible for TN visa classification.
Responsibilities
- Inspect contractor operations on roadway, bridge, and other transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
- Perform routine material testing.
- Measure and track quantities of pay items.
- Gather and maintain record documents, including material certifications, testing reports, and inspectors’ daily diaries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
