About The Position

Blue Line Distribution, the in-house distributor for Little Caesars Pizza, is hiring a Transportation Supervisor at its Bethlehem, Pennsylvania facility. The supervisor assists in leading strategic and day-to-day transportation department activities, including managing schedules and routes and creating and managing transportation goals identified in the strategic plan. The role is responsible for productivity goals and standards, Department of Transportation compliance and safety, quality service, and managing driver colleagues.

Requirements

• At least three years of supervisory experience in the transportation industry, including managing drivers, routes, fleet maintenance, and operating expenses.
• Strong understanding of DOT, FDA, OSHA, and CSA compliance requirements, company policies, and national and state regulations, with the ability to enforce them.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
• Experience with onboard systems such as PeopleNet and Appian to maximize driver route efficiency.
• Experience in fleet maintenance.
• Ability to work after normal business hours, evenings, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery schedules efficiently meet customer needs while minimizing total distribution cost per case.
• Monitor driver routes, stops, and deliveries, and ensure required logs are accurate and completed on time.
• Develop maintenance schedules and procedures to keep vehicles and equipment performing well while maintaining adequate delivery coverage.
• Train drivers in transportation procedures.
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve operational and tactical issues.
• Conduct driver ride-alongs as needed.
