About The Position

The Transportation Supervisor works out of the Cleveland, Tennessee office and manages a variety of responsibilities based on daily operational needs. The ideal candidate excels in customer service, is highly organized, can multitask, and takes appropriate action with minimal supervision. The shift is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The role coordinates drivers, freight, equipment, customer accounts, and transportation documentation while ensuring on-time service and compliance with operational, safety, and DOT requirements.

Requirements

At least 1–2 years of dispatch, load planning, or fleet supervisory experience in the trucking or transportation industry.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
Proven organizational ability and capacity to prioritize competing operational demands.
Exceptional problem-solving skills under time-sensitive constraints.

Nice To Haves

Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), specifically TMW.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and track drivers and freight to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
Confirm load assignments and ensure operational and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor and balance tractor and trailer pools across accounts.
Coordinate directly with on-site shop technicians to expedite maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer accounts by phone and email.
Provide accurate daily reports, communicate transit updates proactively, and lead route execution check-ins.
Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) and electronic logs (ELD) to ensure DOT compliance.
Review and process inbound trip paperwork, bills of lading, and delivery receipts promptly.
