About The Position

The Transportation Specialist - Dispatch Operations supports the Transportation department by facilitating dispatch operations. Using established processes and procedures, this role coordinates transport orders, resolves logistical issues, and contributes to effective operations of the ACV Transportation product. The specialist works with carriers, customers, and internal departments and teammates on dispatch-related assignments, performing duties with limited supervision.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or the transportation industry.
Intermediate problem-solving ability.
Teamworking skills, including working with internal and external partners.
Proven customer service ability.
Communication and organizational skills.
Sense of urgency and self-motivation.
Familiarity with business technology, including Microsoft Office or G Suite, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Triage customer and carrier inquiries and manage transactions and communications to provide timely resolutions.
Refer inquiries or tasks to appropriate teammates.
Process transactions supporting Transportation operations, including assigning dispatch jobs, expediting transport orders, and assessing customer and carrier needs.
Maintain relationships with carriers, customers, internal departments, and teammates.
Resolve complex issues using established processes, procedures, and problem-solving skills.
Enter and maintain accurate records in Salesforce, load boards, and other related systems or platforms.
Coordinate interdepartmentally to maintain dispatch status and communicate with sellers, buyers, and carriers.
Ensure transactions and records are accurate, up to date, and compliant.
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Use systems to support continuous improvement of dispatch operations.
Monitor KPIs and objectives through relevant systems.
Collaborate with management and the Dispatch team to identify opportunities and help develop effective policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
