About The Position

HDR is hiring a Transportation Roadway Intern for Summer 2027 in its Transportation Business Group. The intern will contribute to transportation roadway projects and gain real-world experience while applying standard engineering techniques and procedures under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager. The role also offers opportunities to connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Preference is given to local or regional candidates pursuing a Civil Engineering degree during Summer 2027.
• Preferably have completed two years toward the degree and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study or industry.

Responsibilities
