Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering design.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation/Open Roads.
- Ability to work efficiently to meet project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
- Ability to compose concise technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with state and local design standards.
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with client and project management.
Responsibilities
- Planning and design of transportation projects, including state highway work, interchanges, roadway design, drainage systems, storm water management, and utility relocations.
- Preparation of contract documents.
- Client focus and technological savviness.
- Managing project budgets and schedules.
- Communicating effectively with clients, coworkers, sub-consultants, agency review staff, and utilities.
- Composing concise technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
- Handling multiple concurrent projects.
