About The Position

The Transportation Planner provides transportation support to Eastman Kodak’s Logistics Department across all modes of transport, with a focus on domestic transportation, and provides secondary support to other transportation functions. The role collects and analyzes data to support continual improvement and works with carriers, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve day-to-day operational issues and concerns. This is a hybrid role requiring some onsite work each week in Rochester, New York.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Team-player approach.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective telephonic communication skills.
Analytical and customer-first mindset.

Logistics and transportation experience.
SAP ERP experience.

Responsibilities

Use root cause analysis to evaluate carrier delays, errors, and concerns.
Provide quotes and transit times to business units for project analysis.
Review delivery discrepancies and resolve them with carriers.
Liaise with carriers about operational challenges and monitor carrier performance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and handle carrier claims.
Work with carriers to resolve customer-service issues, including tracking and tracing, missing freight, and special intercepts.
Plan customer pickups for quality issues, carrier damage, and new installations; contact or confirm that products are ready for pickup.
Select the best mode and carrier for returns, complete the Kodak return tracking process, and coordinate carrier returns.
Provide carriers with direction when freight is refused, including disposition, return authorization, or return-to-location instructions.
Back up departmental functions and provide coverage for team members during vacation time.
Run reports as required to support business units.
Work with Purchasing and Planners on urgent inbound and outbound shipments requiring carrier intervention to ensure timely delivery.
